Hawk introduces Maverick to another Battle Force 2000 recruit who is busy working on secret new vehicle deep underground in a G.I.Joe base near the Rocky Mountains, "Hey Blaster! I'd like to introduce you to Captain Kiley, Code Name -- Maverick. He's a fellow pilot!" Blaster looks towards Hawk, squinting in the bright work light, "Yo! Sir! What'd ya say Sir?" Hawk laughs, "Can you turn down the tunes?" Blaster quickly responds, "Sir Yes Sir!" Hawk continues, "You see here Maverick, this Hovercraft is the first in a line of prototype vehicles specifically engineered for Battle Force 2000! We're keeping this project in-house. COBRAUGUST 2019 (Day 18) - The Sound Attack 8-Pack was a reasonably priced set that gave us four Joes and four Cobras, all with those silly sound attack weapons that nobody cared about. Wait, was it reasonably priced, or did I just get mine on sale? Either way, all the Cobras were in red, which might not be realistic, but Cobra has never been one for boring, realistic colour schemes. There’s just something about this Undertow that appeals to me. He’s super light on accessories, but it’s a budget set (maybe), so it’s not unexpected. And there’s Buzzer’s chainsaw again! I don’t know how well that would function underwater, but I like that Undertow has it. Feels very “saboteur”, and I can picture these guys cutting through underwater pipes and the like. According to YoJoe.com, he’s also supposed to have a machine gun and a backpack, but I must’ve given them to someone else in the set for some reason. It’s a shame Undertow doesn’t come with ANY scuba accessories, though. I might try to track down some of his original gear, because if I like him this much as he is, he probably looks even better with a mask and some fins. Or maybe the barracuda.
