BACK TO BACK AND BICEPS 💪🏼 ~ As you might understand I did back and biceps today. I mixed lower weights with higher reps and higher weights with fewer reps, pretty much 50/50. It feels like I'm slowly getting stronger but the chin ups are still so hard 🤷🏻‍♀️ But I won't give up! ~ In the afternoon I did some grocery shopping and fixed the apartment. I don't like it when it's messy. Here’s a great squat challenge to improve your ability to perform this exercise effectively. Bicep development has always been a massive struggle for me. Not only has it been a struggle, but I’ve had poor bicep development in my left arm. It’s a pretty bad imbalance. It’s not until just recently that I’ve noticed some real changes starting to occur. What really is starting to make my body move, is first, I’ve been eating more. Second, I’ve been hitting my biceps more frequently. Third, I’ve been doing MANY variations of my bicep workouts. Targeting all parts of the bicep. I’ve still got a very long way to go but it’s some progress. I want to be transparent with everything on my page, showing my strong and weak points. Part of having an aesthetic physique is exposing your weak points and addressing them. You can only grow (literally) by working on lagging body parts and contributing more time to them. It all takes time, for some, it takes longer. Remember this is a marathon not a sprint. People are too impatient with what they want. Take it one day at a time and be consistent and I promise you every year you will be one step closer to your desired physique. Over the past month I have been working on my sumo deadlift, it is something I have always wanted to try but always been hesitant and scared. The person helping is able to complete a heavy DL (2.5x their body weight). So they are now coaching me through techniques so that I progress at a fast but safe pace. Which one is healthier? 🤐 - My answer is neither. The chances are the top picture is probably monstrously restricted in food choices, calories, and malnourished. The bottom one, isn’t great either, more than likely suffering with body fat related issues such as diabetes, on route to heart disease, and despite the picture, more than likely some type of confidence issue. - I could be fat from the truth about both, but it’s unlikely. - The point is that companies will sell you a version of their product that is “cool” and spoken about, and right now it’s a trend to feel comfortable in your own skin (which I love). - But a lot of the jumpers on the band wagon suggesting “you go girl” to either of them... take a look at the bigger picture instead of seeing someone in a pair of Calvins that fits today’s marketability.- Promote health, for the sake of health. « Si je m’écoutais un peu plus, je m’entendrais. » Savoir s’écouter, savoir écouter son corps, savoir ralentir de temps en temps n’est pas chose facile pour moi mais c’est pourtant une chose primordiale, que j’aurais du faire depuis bien longtemps.C’est toujours quand il est trop tard que je réalise et que je prends conscience que j’en fais trop, beaucoup trop. Le corps ne ment jamais. Quand on lui en demande trop, quand on le pousse dans ses extrêmes, un jour il nous le fait comprendre et ce jour-là il est trop tard pour revenir en arrière... la blessure est là. Apprendre à prendre du repos, à prendre du temps pour moi, à me relaxer sont mes missions. Cela ne sera pas facile, loin de là, mais j’y travaillerai comme je l’ai toujours fait pour tout le reste. Aujourd’hui je n’ai pas d’autres choix que de m’adapter et que de me reposer un peu plus mais je vais voir ceci comme une chose positive. This workout is only suitable for those who have weight-training experience and is ideal for those who have 45-60 minutes to workout. Challenge yourself with a weight that allows you to push one repetition shy of failure and take 60-90 seconds rest between each set. - Superset – Combining two exercises together usually working seperate or the opposing muscle group. This is performed one exercise after the other with a set rest-time after the two exercises have been completed.
