✅ COME POSIZIONARE I PIEDI DURANTE LO SQUAT - La regola base è che i piedi dovrebbero essere leggermente divaricati, diciamo a circa 30 gradi, questo perché, in fase di discesa, le gambe tenderanno naturalmente ad andare verso l'esterno, evitando un movimento di intraruotazione, molto pericoloso specialmente con carichi maggiori. - I piedi dovrebbero restare fermi e stabili una volta trovata la posizione, non si dovrebbero alzare nè la punta nè il tallone e il peso dovrebbe essere equamente distribuito sull'intera pianta. Un consiglio spassionato, perché sono il primo ad avere questo problema: se avete una scarsa mobilità delle caviglie, tenderete ad alzare il tallone in fase di discesa: un leggero rialzo posteriore di pochi centimetri, potrà risolvere quasi tutti i vostri problemi. - A tal proposito assicuratevi di acquistare scarpe con una suola dura, la stabilità è fondamentale, ricordate che le vostre gambe dovranno sopportare un peso enorme. - Ultimo suggerimento: considerando sempre che l'apertura dei piedi è molto soggettiva, una buona regalo di base potrebbe essere quella di far corrispondere i talloni all'apertura delle spalle. . . . Old Man Butt is a common affliction that is often accompanied by sore hips and knees. That muscle served a function. When we lose muscle in our derrière, our quads, or anywhere else, structure (bones, ligaments, cartilage and tendons) end up picking up the slack. The side step up is one of my favourite exercises to reacquaint people with their glutes and quads and subsequently stabilise the knee and hip. Some key points to remember: 1️⃣Start on a low step and build up 2️⃣Keep toes to shin in your non-working leg, resisting the urge to push off the ground. This ensures the working leg is active through the full range on ascent and descent. 3️⃣Really tuck your hips under and contract the glutes and quad at the top. The quality of that terminal contraction directly correlates to the effectiveness of the exercise. Keeping it short today. Here's a quick list of cues to help with knee position in the squat: • Spread the floor • Screw the feet down • Tear the paper (imagining you're stood on a sheet of paper) • Knees over toes • Maintain a tripod foot (three points of contact with the floor) Different cues resonate better with different people. Try a few and others you've seen/heard and let me know if this helps maintain your knee position in the squat. Ultimately you may need to lower the weight to make technical adjustments, this will pay dividends in the long term. Quality over quantity always. DONT BE AFRAID OF EATING MORE ⁣ 
Many females come to me with the goal of getting “toned” (building muscle & dropping fat) yet are severely under eating & in disbelief that eating more is what is going to help them reach this goal. ⁣ ⁣ Chronic underrating or extended periods of dieting can bring on the following;⁣ ⁣ - Low Libidio⁣ - Low energy⁣ - Cognitive dysfunction⁣ - Less training motivation or unable to maintain the same exercise intensity. ⁣ - Increase in hunger hormones & decrease in satiety hormone ⁣ - Hormonal issues, loss of period etc. ⁣ - Binge Eating behaviours or a Bad Relationship with food⁣ - Less food = less micronutrients = potential micronutrient deficiency’s . ⁣ 
Living in a deficit is not the way to live, if you are entering a fat loss phase or currently in one, make sure you have an AFTER plan. If your goal is to put on muscle, please understand that you need to fuel yourself adequately to do so.⁣ ⁣ Your metabolism is dynamic, & adapts to the amount of energy you are giving to your body. If you are chronically in a deficit/undereating, your output will be DOWN regulated. Your body will be good at preserving your energy. As oppose to being well fed, your body will be wasteful of your energy, as there is an abundance of it. ⁣ I know it may seem counterintuitive, but increasing your calories (reverse dieting) will help you achieve the results you want in a sustainable manner! ⁣ ⁣ There are a few mechanisms that help to “balance out” an increase in energy intake, and in some cases, some people actually lose weight when they increase their intake! ⁣ More food means:⁣ ⁣ - Increased thermic effect of food (which is a component of your metabolism) = increased output.⁣ - Increased energy levels = increased training output, increase in NEAT (another component of your metabolism) & your desire to move day to day. ⁣ - Increased macronutrient & micronutrient intake = better health. ⁣ - Better sleep = more energy again = increased output. ⁣ - More libido = increase in output 😉⁣ ⁣ There are SMARTER and more effective ways of achieving your body comp goal. 💥Hip trust en glute cable pull trough💥 1. Hip trust. 1️⃣Begin seated on the ground with a bench directly behind you. Have a loaded barbell over your legs. Using a fat bar or having a pad on the bar can greatly reduce the discomfort caused by this exercise. 2️⃣Roll the bar so that it is directly above your hips, and lean back against the bench so that your shoulder blades are near the top of it. 3️⃣Begin the movement by driving through your feet, extending your hips vertically through the bar. Your weight should be supported by your shoulder blades and your feet. Extend as far as possible, then reverse the motion to return to the starting position. 2. Glute cable pull trough. 1️⃣ Begin standing a few feet in front of a low pulley with a rope or handle attached. Face away from the machine, straddling the cable, with your feet set wide apart. 2️⃣Begin the movement by reaching through your legs as far as possible, bending at the hips. Keep your knees slightly bent. Keeping your arms straight, extend through the hip to stand straight up. When we talk about training it’s easy to do all the fancy exercises you see on Instagram and it might come out as fun as well as inspiring. But let’s slow down a second here and let’s talk about how to really do well for your body. This amazing machine that brings us around every day all day. Prep is as important as the workout itself. And here I show you an exercise that can be performed as a regression of a single leg hip hinge move or a preparation move at the beginning. It’s a BODY WEIGHT SINGLE LEG RDL. Helps stabilise the hips, fire your glutes and also your core area. How: when you stand on one foot make sure that your toes grab the floor, you’ll feel the glutes activating as well. Then reach forward with your arms and at the same time reach back with one leg. The main thing here is to focus on keeping your hips as straight as possible. Without externally rotate. It’s been a tough 2 years, but not once have I given up. I had to quit my old job and not work for 9 months, I couldn’t train properly and in actual fact I couldn’t do anything properly for a very long time. But 2 years on; I’ve just started my dream career and I’m getting stronger in every aspect. Has the pain gone... no... but I refuse to let it win and I want to be able to enjoy my life! Pois bem, vamos aos fatos... Em primeiro lugar: No afundo temos a extensão de joelhos com extensão de quadris concêntrica, dessa forma nos parece lógico que os posteriores de coxa – que são flexores de joelho – não serão efetivos. Fundamentamos isso através de estudos como, por exemplo, o de Ekstrom (2007) que identificou não mais que 17%  de atividade muscular nos posteriores comparados a 70% de Vasto Medial. Podemos elencar em segundo plano a produção de força: Escamilla(2010) evidenciou que os posteriores de coxa produzem 90% menos força que os Quadríceps tanto no Afundo como no Avanço. No terceiro lugar colocamos a estabilidade: a função mais importante destes músculos é estabilizar o joelho! Quando os Posteriores de coxa contraem junto com o Quadriceps, a tíbia é tracionada para trás! Uma das inúmeras vantagens disso é diminuir a força no Ligamento Cruzado Anterior! Quando os isquiotibiais são muito acionados no Afundo é sinal de perda de estabilidade ou dificuldade do exercício a exemplo do Afundo Búlgaro - Mas isso não tira o protagonismo do Quadríceps! (McCurdy;2010; Pincivero;2000) Consideração Final Yamishita(1988), propôs que o Quadriceps inibe a ação dos Isquiotibiais, reduzindo sua participação - algo que nos parece elucidado com os dados demonstrados -  concluindo que, a melhor maneira de trabalhar estes músculos continua sendo os exercícios como a flexão de joelhos e o Stiff, por exemplo (Wright, 1999)! ✨ Life and fitness update! . These past few weeks I have been really changing my ways of thinking. I made 4 goals for the next few weeks and so far I am crushing them! 1. No procrastinating - doing the things I kept holding off and forgetting. 2. Work out Monday, Wednesday & Friday to reach my fitness goals which are slimming my waist, toning my back and continuing to work on my bum. 3. NO FAST FOOD (for the people who know me, know that this is probably the most challenging thing for me) but I’ve been challenging myself by staying disciplined so I can also reach my fitness goals and feel healthy and have more energy. 4.
