Its Saturday! Which for this competitor means a longer workout than what I can accomplish during the week as a full time working mom. Give this multi-muscle group workout a try! Your body will be screaming, but it’s worth it! 🙌 🔥Calves | Hamstrings | Medial Delts workout (creates by @anthonykurup3.0 ) 🔥400 calorie burn stairmaster at end of workout (drink protein shake before starting cardio) 🔥SUPERSET 1: Seated Calve to DB standing calves, 2x50 3x25 (make sure to increase weight each set) 🔥SUPERSET 2: Smith Machine Calves 4x12 *Heavy* (standing on two 45lb plates for emphasis on stretch) into Farmer Carries 15 steps each leg holding a very challenging weight - use straps to hold weight. 🔥SUPERSET 3: Floor DB Hamstring Curl, 3x15 *moderate heavy weight into lateral raises with thumbs facing up - 4x25 🔥SUPERSET 4: DB Deadlift to Seated Hamstring Curl (use Standing if available), 3x25 🔥SUPERSET 5: Kneeling DB Lateral Raise into Standing DB lateral Raise *start with a moderate/light weight for kneeing Raise then move to moderate heavy weight for standing Raise, 5x5 (heavy) 🔥Final Exercise: Incline Bench Lateral Raises. Place incline Bench at 45 degrees. Lay with facedown on bench. Balance body on knees on seat or stand angled with feet on ground. Focus on rear Mid Shoulders while you raise the weight with your arms straight in a ‘Y’ formation, 4x20, medium-heavy weight.

I played three varsity sports and my father coached varsity football. He is an amazing man and always used to tell a story about when he was younger he would school this neighbor kid in basketball every summer and every year the kid would tell him “someday, I’ll beat you.” My Dad would always laugh because he knew he was better. Over the next two years, my Dad did what he did, played sports, hung out with friends, partied. The other kid was up to something different. Then my father’s junior year in high school, that same kid beat him out for the starting spot. Why? Because that kid was practicing every summer and off season while my father was resting on his laurels. You want to be better? You gotta put in the work! So next time, put in just a little more effort, add just a little more weight, challenge yourself. Unfortunately I was in an unfamiliar gym today as I’ve been suspended without any warning from my current gym for suspicions of “coaching or PTing” my mate that came to me for advice. (More of an update on that on Tuesday) However training in the waterfordweighttrainingclub bought back some I didn’t know I was actually missing.. An intense workout, heavy weight and high reps and very little breaks between sets. SWIPE —> for a super efficient yet super killer leg/core day. 😅👏🏼👏🏼⁣ ⁣ This one is all about the METHOD so make sure you read the description below!! It’s run circuit style but each movement should be done with extreme control and intention. 👌🏼⁣ ⁣ Believe me, you’ll be sweating 💦💦⁣ ⁣ 𝐐. Why incorporate lifting circuits (over just cardio circuits)?⁣ ⁣ 𝐀𝟏. Excellent way to mix up hypertrophy training (ie, higher rep training for muscle enlargement and definition.)⁣ ⁣ 𝐀𝟐. Extremely efficient. Timing our work/rest periods tend to keep us (me 🙈) honest and undistracted and maximizes time spent in the gym (this particular workout was less than 30 minutes and SO ENOUGH 🔥🔥.)⁣ ⁣ 𝐀𝟑. Keeps the body guessing. If you’re used to ALWAYS counting reps, try timing yourself and vice versa (if you’re used to ALWAYS doing circuits try counting reps). Great for depth in your squat ⁣ ⁣ 💚Narrow walking lunges - Keeping the lunges narrow to target the quads more. Maintain an upright posture⁣ ⁣ 💚Narrow stance leg press - Put your feet lower on the leg press so that you focus on the quads more. ⁣ ⁣ ⁣

SIDE RAISE VARIATIONS 🔥 • Here are 3 variations you can try to work the lateral head of the deltoid. I like using these to mix it up or to create more constant tension, especially with the cables. Try them out 👇🏼 • 💥 Chest Supported Side Raises - Set a bench on a slight incline - Place your knees on the seat and place your chest on the bench - Raise your arms out to the side and control them back down 💥 Single Cable Side Raises - Set a cable low and attach a handle - Step over the cable with your outside foot - Lean away from the cable station - Raise your arm out and control it back down 💥 Lying Cable Side Raises - Lie down on a cable row station - Attach two handles and cross them - Raise out to the side and slowly control them back down • For all of these, shoot for 12-15 reps and 3-4 sets.
