Another day of squats, and another couple of huge PRS. I planned to hit 315 for 5 and ended up hitting it for 7. Power Letโ€™s break it down. In order to generate good power, significant FORCE is necessary. Force = mass x acceleration. The formula for acceleration (a= Vel2-Vel1/time) shows how crucial speed is in generating more force. If you have high speed in short time, your force will be larger than that of your speed being slower assuming mass is constant. ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿพ After understanding force, we look at the power component where Power= work/time. Work is where we apply our force outcome (Work = Force x Distance). Here we see with our high force number and large distance covered (I.e. a snatch instead of a shoulder press) we gain a much higher value of work. ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿพ Now letโ€™s put it all together. With power we are looking at the work done over time. With our high work value, we want the time to be a short as possible in order to generate the highest power possible. Which is harder, Building muscle or losing fat ๐Ÿค” - - So many times during this building season I have thought I wanted to quit and just go back into a fat loss phase. The fact of not seeing Visual difference in myself plays games with me. - - During my fat loss phase I could tell the difference every week and it was addicting to see my body change. Now not seeing that progression is a total mind fuck. - - BUT I will not give up! Why? Because I want this next cut to be better than the last. I want to show muscle that I worked so hard to build up. Most importantly I want to be able to cut and not be on extremely low calories.
