Over the past year I’ve taken every Sunday off, that’s about 52 days behind. That’s not including the days I slept in past sunrise, or the days I chose to leave early because a client canceled, or the days I chose hours of IG scrolling and YouTube over working extra hours, training etc. I’ve been playing myself. The greats rest out of necessity, not out of luxury. When they say I’ll rest when I’m dead, I get it now. Raise your hand if you’ve ever been victimized by your own procrastination 🙋🏼‍♀️ It’s Sunday. You’re watching Friends, but not really. You’re stressing, because that to-do list in your head has managed to get even longer. Instead of staying glued to the couch in a low key panic attack, here’s 2 things you can do to feel like you have your shit 1% more together. 1. Identify the main thing that is stressing you out. Is this something you can actually do something about? You’re stressed about meal prepping for the week because you know you don’t have time— put together your lunch for tomorrow. You don’t have to do everything, just do one small thing. 2. Is it something you can’t do anything about right now? Get out a notebook and write it out. All of it. Until there’s nothing left. Writing it out will stop the cycling and help to get it out of your system. When you’re done, put it away. Put the thoughts away too, that’s all you can do until tomorrow. The overwhelm is overpowering sometimes, but it doesn’t have to completely crush you. The smallest things can create the greatest relief. Let me know how you’re making your Sunday 1% better! 👇🏼

✨Is there a machine or exercise in the gym you’re “afraid” of? ✨Maybe hesitant to touch because it looks scary or you had a bad experience? This has been me. I had a terrible experience on a hack squat machine (let’s just say I couldn’t re-rack it, it wasn’t dangerous but WAS embarrassing). This happened right as I got into the gym, and I hadn’t touched the machine since. The other day, I thought “whatever” and had an awesome workout using it! I felt so accomplished. Hands down 🙌🏼 yesterday was one of my favorite souls cycle classes! . After the marathon last month, I could feel how more endurance I had to ride..even if @shane_fit4mylife was pushing me to my limits!! I can always count on this man for an intense workout 🚴‍♀️ . Update: since my marathon, I’ve started waking up @5:30 to get my workout in before work. It’s been a real struggle, but I’m doing this so I have more time after work to spend quality time with my family, my friends, and my boyfriend. Previously, I used to constantly decline hangouts so I could gym... and realized I was making everything revolve about the gym. It’s been nice getting it in early but Ive also been a lot more tired at night AND also another reason I haven’t had a lot of videos up lately. I’m thinking about heading to some new classes in my area soon so mix things up! 🤩

You’re already spending it anyways, right? You pick what you spend your money on all the time. ◾️I used to think that a gym membership of $50/month was too much. I could spend that on a fancy dinner out or a pair of shoes. 🔻But then I was paying over $100/month on a crossfit membership & it was worth every penny. ◾️I didn’t want to buy the 1stphorm opti greens at first because $59 was pricey. I could buy myself another pair of leggings. 🔻But now I’m guaranteed to get my micronutrients in daily, my skin is clear, & my digestion is on point. And that’s only $1.99/day ◾️I didn’t want to buy the resistance bands that could help improve my warmups and workouts. I could just figure something else out with the gym equipment 🔻But now I have increased my pull-up reps faster than I ever expected because the bands allowed me to slowly decrease resistance as my strength grew. I hit one of my main fitness goals. 🔸We make choices all the time. It’s just apart of life, but it’s also when excuses come up. When we have to decide between our health & fitness goals, we sometimes have that voice in the back of our head that says “but you can spend that $ on something way more...fun.” 🔶Remind yourself that you need to make it your priority. Don’t put your health on the backburner. Make it your first choice every time. - I’ve never regretted my gym membership, fueling my body with nutrients, an annual fee that allows me to see what I feed my body with, and gym accessories that help me achieve my goal.

When someone tells you you just need ~*balance*~ in your life and you want to rip your own eyes out because what the fuck does that even mean? Like, yes, Carol I ~*GET*~ it but that literally tells me nothing and doesn’t help at all. Meanwhile you’re working your ass off every day and feeling more stressed than Chucky Finster when he swallowed a watermelon seed, but it feels like there’s no other option. There is. Here’s what you do 👇🏼 Start saying no. You have 10,000 things on your plate so adding 1 2 3 4 more things feels like a drop in the bucket. Truth is, it’s all these little extra things are pushing you faster down the stress spiral. When your coworker asks you to go out for drinks after work, but it sounds more stressful than fun, you’re allowed to say no. Use these extra moments to carve out some serious time for yourself. This isn’t supposed to be time where you do more work and cram in 10 loads of laundry while you wash dishes. This is time where you turn off your phone and watch Friends, or play video games for the first time in FOREVER, and get in a little bit of movement if that’s what you need. It might not be all ~*zen & chi*~ but it will recharge your batteries. And you will feel 6% more human almost immediately. What are you doing for yourself today?

I finished Phase 1 of Morning Meltdown 100 this morning. Took a rest day in the middle of the week (aka I overslept) so I stacked workouts 19 and 20 so I can finish with most of the group. I know most of us usually share the fun pre workout dances and the smiling sweaty selfies. But if we're being honest, it is not always rainbows and sunshine. Sometimes its freakin hard. ANYWAYS, I had the time today so here's a video of my legit reaction to Workout 19. I apologize in advance to those offended by me swearing but 🤷‍♀️ After recording the video, I found my life again and got to Workout 20: Revibe, which was exactly what I needed. 2019- you have been a roller coaster. So many great moments. Lots of lows. Not gonna lie, the last few weeks I have wanted to give up so many times. Trying to maneuver through life with a shattered heart and a broken spirit is excruciatingly painful. Not feeling like I’m enough. Having to pretend that everything is okay when it’s NOT okay. Some days my social anxiety is so bad I can’t leave the house. Or I completely disassociate with everything and everyone around me. Finding joy in things seemed impossible at times. It was dark and it was really lonely. I wouldn’t wish this pain on anyone. One of the very few things that has helped me through this really painful time is my @letsdryft family. I opened up to my Dryft leaders about what’s been going on and they’ve been so supportive, so encouraging, so compassionate. They believed in me when I couldn’t believe in myself and they pushed me the perfect amount so that I could make positive steps in the right direction. I cannot say enough great things about this community and it’s mission to inspire, create, connect, love, and be bold. To be BRAVE. It’s been my saving grace these past few weeks and I can’t wait for all of YOU to experience the Dryft magic for yourself. ✨Walking has been therapy for me for the past few months (hear me out!) ✨I didn’t necessarily know I needed it, or how stressed out I was. Walking was the answer. I always hated walking places, but when I started my mission of getting to 10,000 steps a day I was determined and so would go for long walks (alone usually). I would walk around these beautiful commons in London, pop in a podcast and just be at peace with myself. My anxiety and IBS improved SO much over time. This past week I’ve been sick with flu and haven’t made it to my step count and the change in my mental health is insane!
