#USWNT

Major takeaway from latest update in new lawsuit: US Soccer does not want Cindy Parlow Cone to testify. They also will still argue the WNT players have "different" responsibilities than the MNT. Hard to say "different" does not equal "less" for legal arguments sake.

LOL the actual difference is that the women have MORE responsibility than the men... but that鈥檚 not USSF鈥檚 argument. 馃檮

USSF points out that "different" doesn't mean "less" when it comes to effort, skills, responsibility.

New docs filed in equal pay lawsuit. US Soccer doesn鈥檛 want the players to be able to call new US Soccer president Cindy Parlow Cone as a witness.

U.S. Soccer just filed a motion to strike Cindy Parlow Cone from the witness list from players. (Yes, it's a Friday. Yes, I have been drinking.)

Update in Case US Soccer filed a Motion to Strike the players amended witness list. Why? It included Cindy Parlow Cone, who would testify about statements she made in March of this year. What statements? Saying US Soccer's filing included "offensive language"

Happy Birthday to defender and 1991 champion Debbie Belkin Rademacher! 馃コ馃弳

Statement from : "Each WNT Player may choose for herself whether to participate in the NWSL 2020 Challenge Cup, and the USWNTPA and the USSF will provide support to each Player in whatever decision she makes."

This week's is all about the last line of defense 馃Г馃槫 Can you name the goalkeepers with 10 or more shutouts in their careers?

Reminder that subscribing to The Athletic (a) directly supports our work and (b) subscribing off of one of my stories shows there is a demand for FT women鈥檚 soccer coverage of the and . This is not an insignificant thing!
