The last week of any given month for anyone on SSI, SSDI, WIC, and/or food stamps is always rough. The amount paid helps a lot, but it's usually not enough for the whole month. We're used to tightening our belts. Please, give us poor and vulnerable first grocery dibs if you can.
Heads up for folks in the USA; If you're not having a food emergency, please don't go to the grocery store on April 1st and 2nd. Wait until the 3rd. People who are on food stamps get their accounts recharged on the first of the month, and have likely been running on fumes.
